FROM I-17, proceed west on the Carefree-Wickenburg Highway toward Lake Pleasant. At I-17, you are at milepost 31. Continue past the dam (which you’ll see in about 10 miles on your right, past the Pleasant Harbor Marina entrance, turning right (north) just past milepost 19 at Castle Hot Springs Road. There will be signs indicating Lake Pleasant Regional Park.

From Wickenburg, proceed south on Grand Avenue to State Route 74. This will be milepost 0. Go to milepost 19 and turn north on Castle Hot Springs Road.

Proceed straight for 6.2 miles, turning left at a stop sign. (Right will take you to the North Park Entry).

In about 100 yards, the road turns to dirt. Stay on the main road. Reset your odometer at this point. My ranch is exactly 4.5 miles from the beginning of the dirt road.

Proceed past a horseback riding operation in about 1⁄2 mile, then the road will make a sharp right turn in about 1 mile. On the right you will see the lake. At about 2 miles, you will cross a sometimes dry arm of the lake on a bridge-like structure. At about 3 miles, you’ll pass a road on the right marked “Cow Creek Road”. Do not take this road, proceed straight ahead.

At just past 4 miles, you’ll pass the Casa Rosa Ranch on the left. Then you’ll see signs indicating the road will enter a river bed and the road will indeed drop into (normally dry) Castle Creek. At this point, look for a driveway on the left at exactly 4.5 miles. Proceed about 1⁄2 mile down the driveway, go through a green gate (code is 7777) and you’re there.
